Department of Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is the backbone of engineering. Civil Engineering lab includes fluid mechanics, strength of Strength of materials (SOM), Transportation Engineering, Theory of structure, Geology and Surveying labs.

Surveying : Surveying or land surveying is the technique, profession, and science of determining the terrestrial or three-dimensional position of points and the distances and angles between them.

Surveying

Geology : Geology is an earth science comprising the study of solid Earth, the rocks of which it is composed, and the processes by which they change.

Geology

Theory of structure : Structural engineers are trained to understand, predict, and calculate the stability, strength and rigidity of built structures for buildings. And non building structures.

Theory of structure

Transportation Engineering : The Transportation Engineering Lab is useful for material testing such as aggregate, bitumen for construction of highway railway and airport.

Transportation Engineering

Strength of materials (SOM) : The objective of the strength of materials lab is to demonstrate the basic principles in the area of strength and mechanics of materials and structural analysis to the undergraduate students through a series of experiments. In this lab the experiments are performed to measure the properties of the materials such as impact strength, tensile strength, compressive strength, hardness, ductility etc.
